ADillaTheGENIUS is a multidisciplinary visual artist known for contemporary, conceptual, and esoteric works that traverse a range of creative mediums, including graphic design, film and digital photography, photo and film journalism, documentary, collage, fine art, healing arts, writing, publishing (books and zines), augmented reality, fashion, music, and event production. A.Dilla’s exhibitions have spanned major North American cities such as Atlanta, GA; Los Angeles, CA; and San Diego, CA, with a current base in Chicago, IL. Notable collaborations and features include PAPER Magazine, VSCO, ADULT., and The San Diego Art Institute.Originally from San Diego, California, A. Dilla grew up immersed in the performing arts, developing a foundation in classical music while also exploring theatre, dance, illustration, animation, creative writing, film, and photography. Over the past decade, they have transformed their passion for music and cinema into a career documenting and collaborating within the indie, progressive, experimental, and underground music scenes.
A. Dilla is non-binary/transgender, using they/them/theirs and he/him pronouns, and currently resides in Chicago, IL. Driven by a deep commitment to creative expression and community, they continue to engage audiences with work that bridges visual storytelling and sound.
