The Vision:
'F҉R҉E҉A҉K҉quency Noir' is more than just documentaries, docuseries, web series, podcasts, and live streams—it's an uprising. This is the first of its kind to exclusively spotlight the artistry and resilience of marginalized progressive and experimental Black and African LGBTQ+ musicians. By showcasing their narratives, sounds, and the way they thrive against adversity, FREAKquency Noir hopes to promote greater visibility, understanding, and inclusivity."
Why Now:
"At a time when representation matters more than ever, 'FREAKquency Noir' reflects the current reality of our world. FREAKquency Noir highlights the creativity and struggles of individuals who have often been overlooked or misrepresented. It aims to break down stereotypes, challenge societal norms, and celebrate the diversity of experiences within the Black and African LGBTQ+ communities.
Media shapes societal attitudes, and with 'FREAKquency Noir,' we want to inspire empathy, understanding, and pride by showing real stories from our diverse innovators. This project has the potential to change perceptions, foster belonging, and give a platform to artists whose voices deserve to be heard."
The Need for Funding:
